An Update on the FINIS Smart Goggle

Published on December 17th, 2025

One Last Lap for a Product That Changed Training

At FINIS, we’ve always believed the best swim gear makes training clearer and more effective. The Smart Goggle was built with that same goal: give swimmers access to real-time feedback in the water.

It allowed swimmers to view splits, track laps and strokes, and stay engaged in their sets without stopping at the wall. For those who used it regularly, it brought a new kind of focus to everyday training.

The Evolution of Swim Technology

As the swim technology category continues to evolve and new wearables enter the market, FINIS has made the decision to officially sunset the Smart Goggle at the end of 2025. This decision was not made lightly. It reflects our commitment to focusing on products where we can continue to lead with clarity, performance, and long-term impact.

While the Smart Goggle will no longer be part of our active product lineup, we remain proud of what it represented and the swimmers it supported along the way.

Information for Current Smart Goggle Owners

If you currently own a FINIS Smart Goggle, here’s what you need to know:

  • The FINIS Smart Goggle app will remain fully functional for existing users.
  • New devices must be registered in the app by January 31, 2026 to ensure continued functionality.
  • Registered users will continue to have access to their training data and core app features beyond the product’s sunset.

Need a replacement goggle?

For swimmers who already train with the Smart Goggle and may need a replacement goggle, Smart Goggle replacement goggles are still available for purchase while supplies last.

Thank You for Being Part of the Journey

We know swim gear is personal. Not every swimmer wants technology in their goggles, but for those who did, the Smart Goggle delivered insights that changed how they trained. We’re grateful to the athletes, coaches, and teams who embraced it and helped push swim innovation forward.

As always, FINIS remains committed to building what’s next—tools that help swimmers train smarter, race faster, and enjoy the water more.
